Community Governance Review of Normandy Parish

Published at 9:36am 24th November 2017.

Normandy Parish Council wants to increase the number of its parish councillors from seven to nine. Guildford Borough Council is consulting the public about this request in a Community Governance Review, which closes on Friday 8 December.

The Council is proposing no change is made to the year of ordinary elections, as they currently coincide with borough council elections and elections to other parish councils in the borough. It is also proposing that Normandy continues to be unwarded (not divided into wards). Normandy Parish Council supports this proposal, and would like to know what people living or working in Normandy think.

To have your say, fill in the online form on the  Community Governance Review of Normandy Parish web page, email us at committeeservices@guildford.gov.uk or write to John Armstrong, Democratic Services Manager, Guildford Borough Council, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford GU2 4BB.

Please state your name and address clearly, and your reply must reach us no later than 5pm on Friday 8 December 2017. Any submissions received after this date, or any representations submitted anonymously, will not be taken into account.

If approved, the change will come into effect on the date of the next scheduled parish council elections on 2 May 2019.
