Hampshire Police are investigating after one of their cars was rammed by a suspect in Passfield near Liphook.

A spokesperson told Eagle Radio officers stopped a car in the Burgh Hill Road area at around 2.20am on Monday (16 March).

After crashing into the police car the suspect drove off from the scene.

Officers say they found the car nearby, it had crashed and was on fire, but the occupants had fled the scene.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene to put out the blaze.

Police say there were no reports of any injuries.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
