Three arrested after Liphook ATM raid

Published at 11:00am 7th May 2019.

Three men have been arrested after a cash point was ripped out of the Co-op in Liphook.

Officers were called to Headley Road at 2:20am today (May 7) where they found an abandoned JCB obstructing the road, which had been used to remove the ATM.

Following a police chase the offenders were arrested in the Surrey area.

They include a 46 year old and a 29 year old, both from Guildford and a 33 year old of no fixed abode.

They currently remain in custody.

The road remains cordoned off while police investigate - but it is expected to be fully re-opened later today.
