Tributes have been paid to a "greatly respected" Royal Surrey consultant, who was killed in a crash in Lower Froyle.

40-year-old Alexander Fletcher, from South Wanborough, died in the incident on the morning of October 26.

His blue Ford Ka veered into a fence post.

The collision took place between Lower Froyle and the junction that leads north to Long Sutton.

His family have released a heart-breaking tribute to him saying he will be "missed beyond measure".

‘Alexander was a true gentleman with a voracious appetite for life. He was a wonderful and much loved husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many.

!As a greatly respected Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, he touched the lives of so many patients, families and colleagues."

Hampshire Constabulary are still appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Fourteen.
