Driver dies in Lower Froyle crash

A man has died in a crash near Lower Froyle in east Hampshire.

Police were called to Froyle Road just after 7:10am to reports that a blue Ford Ka gone into a fence post.

It happened between Lower Froyle and the junction that leads north to Long Sutton.

The driver, a 40-year-old man from South Warnborough, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been told.

PC Paul Farquharson of Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit said:

"We are appealing for anyone with information about this collision to come forward and talk to police.

"Were you driving along this road this morning between 6.45am and 7.15am? Did you see what happened, or did you notice a stationary blue car?"

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Fourteen.
