Truck ploughs into service station in Alton ram-raid

Police are investigating after a forklift truck ploughed into a service station during a ram-raid in Alton.

The burglary happened at the Hen and Chicken Service Station on Farnham Road on Tuesday morning (August 29). 

Between around 4.15am and 4.30am, the truck was used to demolish a wall at the service station.

The vehicle was then used to remove an ATM machine from inside.

The forklift was left at the scene, and the offenders left the area in another vehicle.

Enquiries are on-going.
