Man arrested after lorry hits pedestrian in Bordon

A pedestrian has been hit by a a lorry near Bordon.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision happened at East Wordlham on Friday (July 21).

A Scania HGV was in collision with a pedestrian on Green Street, the B3004, at 3.05pm.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man, is being treated at Southampton General Hospital for life threatening injuries.

The driver of the HGV, a 38-year-old man from Tamworth, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody at this time.

The B3004 was closed between Alton and the A325 but is now fully open.
