Published at 6:09am 12th May 2017. (Updated at 10:33am 12th May 2017)

Fire crews have spent the morning battling a blaze at a stable in Alton.

Crews were alerted to a fire in a stable at the back of The Hen and Chicken Inn in Alton at around 5.00am.
Pumps from Rushmoor, Emsworth and two from Alton tackled the outbuilding fire.
The roof of the building has been 100% damaged by fire.

Three hose reels, four jets and the aerial ladder platform were used to bring the fire under control.
The aerial ladder platform will remain at the scene for up to an hour to dampen down the scene.
No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated.

It was put out by around 7.15 this morning (May 12).

The pictures below show the aftermath of the severe blaze.
