14 years of suicide rates in East Hampshire revealed

Suicides in East Hampshire between 2002 and 2015 have been revealed.

Data shows the highest number recorded in the borough was 19 in 2014, meanwhile the lowest was 3, in 2007.

From the data collected over these 14 years, the average was 8.07 suicides per year.

In Surrey and Hampshire, Basingstoke and Deane had the highest average with 13.43, while Hart had the lowest average, with 4.5.

In our two counties, there were a combined 179 suicides in 2015, which are the most recent figures available.

In March, Eagle Radio reported that suicide rates of boys in Surrey and Hampshire are double that of girls
