LISTEN: Your chance to share memories of travelling by steam train

Do you have a memory of travelling by steam train in Hampshire? A new project is collecting people's stories, particularly from the 1940s to the late 1960s.

The Canadian Pacific Project also aims to restore Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line's flagship locomotive, the 35005 Canadian Pacific, or 'CanPac', as it is affectionately known.

The community intiative includes a wider programme of education and outreach, teaching people about the history of the railway line, which operates heritage steam engines between Alresford and Alton.

You can share your memories of railway travel in Hampshire by sending them to canpac@watercressline.co.uk
