WATCH: Fire crews tackle huge car blaze in Fleet

Dramatic footage has emerged of fire crews battling huge flames from a car fire in Fleet.

The vehicle was burning on Fleet Road, the A3013, during a busy Wednesday afternoon rush hour.

Breathing apparatus and a high pressure hose reel was brought in by a Rushmoor fire crew put it out.

It happened at around 4.30pm.

You Tube user Elliott Killingbeck posted the film.

It shows the fire engine arriving on the scene just in time as flames from the car grow higher with a risk of spreading to woodland beside the road.

You can see just how quickly crews get to work.

Within seconds the four man team are out of the vehicle and reeling out the hose.

We are also shown the aftermath - as smoke plummets from the small car.

The team have used the images to get across an important message.

People are reminded just how quickly a blaze can take hold and spread - stay well away and make space for the crew to get through traffic and to the scene.
