"There's a really nice group of regulars but we also get people from far and wide as well.

"We regularly get people coming down from London to escape the town, we get office workers, cyclists, horse riders and dog walkers, so it's a really eclectic mix of customers.

"We've got a young family and we get a lot of families especially over the weekends."

Can you give us a brief history of your pub?

"I'm not entirely sure exactly how long it has been a pub but certainly 100 or 200 years, there's some interesting history here!

"We've come in and tried to slowly build it up from being closed to an established business.

"It's been a tough journey but we've enjoyed most of it and it's a thriving business now."

Why do you think people voted for The Bluebell?

"I don't think we do anything too complicated. We try to keep to making quite simple, good pub food and we make it all ourselves.

"Our chips in particular, I think we got nominated by somebody who mentioned our chips!

"It's just an independent a family-run pub. Also, the staff, everyone got involved, everyone loves working here and for each other. I find having a really good team is a really important part of what we do.
