About:
On the 8th January 1940, food rationing was introduced in the UK. It would continue for over fourteen long years, far beyond the duration of the war itself.

To mark the 80th anniversary we are hosting an evening to explore the history of food rationing (both nationally and locally) and celebrate the resourcefulness of home cooks during World War Two and beyond.

There will also be opportunities to sample some of culinary delights from the period, including the National Loaf and Mock Banana.
