Community Help Banner (updated)
During these difficult times, you may find yourself in need of local support groups, community initiatives and information, or details on volunteering opportunities in Surrey and Hampshire.

Eagle Radio’s Community Help is a place where not-for-profit companies and charities can list services that are delivered in a no-contact way and observe the strict guidelines around social distancing.

It’s also a place for local support groups to let people know what’s available and how to get involved as a volunteer.

If you're a local company looking to continue trading and have adapted the way you do business to suit the current restrictions then you can advertise on our Essential Business Services page.

You can browse using the map and categories below, and if you’d like your initiative, group or charity listed, use the ‘Submit a new Item’ link below or email community@eagleradio.co.uk

Project Wingman Surrey

Project Wingman is a group of airline crew from across every UK airline, united by our profession and dedicated to serving our NHS Frontline staff during this COVID-19 crisis. We provide a space to unwind, decompress and de-stress before, during and after hospital shifts. We offer a space for a cup of tea, cake and a chat to make staff feel special and looked after. We want to provide anything practical that they need as they maybe away from home for several days at a time with hospital incident centres to action any requests. We require help from local businesses.

Instead of delivering our face-to-face classes, our tutors have created online exercise videos and written exercise sheets. We’ve also added links to a whole raft of different fun activities including knitting patterns, quizzes and puzzles, free theatre shows and virtual tours,” explained Rachael, one of RHL’s project workers.

It’s all on our website under our new ‘boredom busters section and is free for anyone to access
