Flames School Visits - Drug Freeze Programme

The Guildford Flames have been successfully running this drug awareness programme throughout Surrey's primary schools for over 20 years.

Over that time, the programme has had tremendous success highlighting the social, physical and legal implications of drug use to year 5 & 6 pupils, preparing them for the move into secondary school.

The message objective is that ice hockey players use their equipment to help prevent getting injured during games. The drug section of the presentation is therefore trying to give the pupils information which they can then use to protect themselves against harm caused by drug use.  The programme endeavours to give pupils the information they need to make the appropriate choice when faced with difficult situations within the school/social setting.

Kim often attends these visits with the Flames players. Click to find out more about the programme.
